I am writing to you today in horror and outrage over your official hotel-booking partnership with Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025. From the 9th of September to the 12th, DSEI will bring together thousands of delegates from arms companies, dictators and human rights-abusing governments from over 100 different countries around the world to the ExCel Centre in London’s Docklands. DSEI is where profitable deals which perpetuate repression and genocide are made. Israel in particular plays a significant role at DSEI. Domestic Israeli weapons company, Israel Aerospace Industries, advertises its presence at DSEI with a brochure of weapons the IDF has used for its ongoing Gaza genocide. Israel continues to bomb and starve Gaza to death, backed by domestic and international weapons companies and the governments which approve the export of said weapons. But hotel-booking companies such as yourselves who help host delegates from these companies and governments at events such as DSEI play a role in this too. As their official hotel-booking partner, you are directly implicated in the deadly violence that DSEI facilitates. By working with DSEI, EventBeds™ and NuBreed Hotels are making a profit. UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine Francesca Albanese recently released a report which highlights the role of the corporate sector in violent and lethal atrocities around the world. EventBeds™ and NuBreed Hotels are part of this sector. I will not stand by silently and let this continue. I am writing today to urge you to cut ties with DSEI. I will not be using your hotel-booking services in the future unless you can commit to severing ties with DSEI this year. I will be spreading this message widely, in particular to all of my family, friends and professional contacts to encourage them to do the same. You must not do business with DSEI. End your hotel-booking partnership now!<div></div>
